A rare sighting of a whale shark feeding on a large school of baitfish on the Ningaloo Reef, Western Australia. Whale sharks are rarely documented to feed on schools of baitfish as they're most commonly seen filter feeding. Having spent fives years on the Ningaloo Reef photographing these animals, this is the first time I had seen and documented this behaviour.
